Carver Farmers Market closed, reopens June ’10
The Town of Carver, Massachusetts, ZIP 02330, is nestled near the center of southeastern Massachusetts. Carver has hosted, for the last three years, an increasingly popular Farmers Market, drawing on its large population of fulltime and part-time farmers. Each Sunday afternoon from June through October, from 12 Noon to 4 PM, Shurtleff Park,
the small park in the center of town on Route 58, fills
with pop-up shelters of vendors of produce, plants,
flowers, specialty meats and shellfish, baked goods,
and some prepared foods, as well as arts and crafts
vendors. Frequently there will be a booth representing
one of many community groups such as the 4H, or the
Lions; one week it was the music boosters club, another
week, the Carver Historical Commission. A
subcommittee of the Carver Agricultural
Commission runs the Market, with one of its
members as the Market Master
