Try some of these out as well:

All of the above could easily be considered best as well. Although most of the above is an acquired taste (except the cucumber of course). Also you may want to add some herbs to your juicing. Herbs like:

  • Parsley
  • Fresh Garlic
  • Ginger
  • Mint
  • Cilantro

All have healing properties that can boost your juice in the morning and help you to reach your wellness goals. Juicing is an experimental process where you can add or delete ingredients as you see fit.

Juicing is simple enough below you will find basic recipes that you can jazz up as you see fit.

3 cups chopped tomatoes
1 stalk celery
1 cucumber
3 drops stevia (optional)
1/2 teaspoon himalaya sea salt
cayenne pepper

Put all the ingredients into the juicer and enjoy! You can omit the pepper and cayenne pepper if you do not like a hot spicy combination.

Add a little fruit to your juicing with this recipe:

1 bunch spinach
2 apples
1/2 lemon, peeled (optional)

Put all the ingredients in your juicer and enjoy! This is a refreshing green drink. You can substitute cucumbers or Kale for the spinach.

Have you ever considered growing your own veggies? We recommend doing this. Not only are seeds relatively inexpensive, but you will enjoy the fruit of your own labor...literally.

It is a great hobby and most local landscaping companies can help you designate and clear an areato make it appropriate for planting. You can learn more at this gardening site.

Countless days have gone by since my last blog posts and I wanted to jump back in and let everybody know how it's going. I was pretty hot to trot on the veggie/juicing diet but sadly I have to admit that my juicer is probably covered with a fine layer of dust and remains inside my cupboard in the kitchen. I haven't fired that puppy up in the last three months.

As a matter of fact the only thing that I seem to be consistently good at is buying the vegetables that rot in the second drawer.

I heard somebody say that the veggie drawer is where good intentions go to die. I'm pretty sure they're a spot on.

I figured giving you an update my spur me onto take a little bit better care of my nutrition moving forward.

If I look at my to-do list, I definitely have two major items that I want to accomplish moving forward:

  1. Work Out
  2. Eat right

Of course those two items have been on this list for about six months. A hand injury has also not helps.

I got a little frustrated and punched a wall.

Only problem was I broke my hand in The process. The best part about it was that the nurse at the urgent care center shared with me bad she recently punched a steel door. And that she was going to see a counselor about it that very day.  Small world and experiences are similar...

Don't look at me with those judgmental eyes....LOL. we've all lost our cool at one point or another.

The only thing that you didn't do was take a swing at a loadbearing wall.

Got to tell you I don't recommend it.

But now all's good and I'm pretty happy to be moving forward. I'll try to do better and stay in touch thanks for dropping in and reading my blog posts.

Catch ya later!!! Behave.

Why Juicing Helps Your Body

When you are considering juicing for your health you might have the one complaint that most people have and that is that it is too expensive. The thing about juicing is that it takes quite a bit of money if you are going to do it over long periods of time. The thing that you should know however is that the best choice when juicing is to choose products that organic. Organic veggies and fruits are the best option for you to use when starting a juicing regiment.

Some juice is better than none at all

The number one thing that you should know is that if you are not going to juice for long periods of time or are only looking to supplement a few juices a day, then you should know how it will help your health overall. The thing about juicing is that even if it is one juice a day, it is better than no juice at all. You can start out with adding just one juice until you get familiar with it and start to like it before adding nothing but juice to your diet.

Organic Vegetables Do not use the same compounds as regular produce

When you are using organic vegetables and fruits for juicing, there is little care that needs to go into preparing your juice. The one thing that you must do if you have regular produce is to wash the produce. If you do not wash your fruits and vegetables, then you run the chance of ingesting harsh chemicals and reactors that could be hazardous to your health over long periods of time.

With organic vegetables and fruits, you do not have to wash them right away or wash them at all if you do not want to. It is best to wash them however to remove dirt but if you do not like them washed, that is fine. If you do want to wash them but are afraid that if you wash them that you will lose some of the nutritional value of the fruits and vegetables is to use a produce cleanser that you already have in the home like lemon and vinegar or even salt.

Organic Vegetables do not have pesticides like regular produce

The added bonus to juicing with organic vegetables is that since it is not processed like regular fruits and vegetables is that the process of cleaning and washing the produce before it hits the local store allows for the fruit and vegetables to remain high in nutritional value. The produce does not lose anything since it is free of the harsh chemicals right away.
